Customs officers of the Georgian Revenue Service seized about $187,397 in undeclared money at the Tbilisi International Airport in Georgia’s capital and Sarpi border crossing checkpoint with Turkey in the south-west of the country, the state service announced on Wednesday.
The Service said it had seized $185,200 and ₾311,698 ($122,497) of undeclared sums from foreign citizens, with the total amount reaching ₾476,836 ($187,397).
The offenders were fined about ₾13,000 ($5,109) collectively, with one of the individuals also given a ₾30,904 ($12,145) fine.
