Georgian Health Ministry creates new portal for coronavirus-infected patients

The Georgian Health Ministry has created a new portal, https://er.moh.gov.ge/, which allows Georgian citizens to register their COVID-19 status online.

The new portal was developed by the Public Security Management Centre 112 of the Interior Ministry and the Ministry of Health.

The Health Ministry says that newly-infected individuals are able to register their status on er.moh.gov.ge, instead of telephone consultation at Georgia’s 112 emergency hotline.

Information registered on the portal will be shared with family doctors for further monitoring of COVID patients.

Georgia has reported 5,567 new COVID-19 cases, 1,661 recoveries, and 36 deaths in the past 24 hours.

984,802 cases have been registered in Georgia since February 26, 2020.

A total of 924,072 of 984,802 patients have recovered, while 14,395 have died from the virus.

Overall, 1,096 cases of the Omicron variant have been confirmed in the country as of January 14.
