Georgia reports 9,696 new cases of coronavirus, weekly positivity rate stands at 15.66%

Georgia has reported 9,696 new cases of coronavirus, 5,408 recoveries and 28 deaths in the last 24 hours. The weekly positivity rate stands at 15.66%.

A total of 73,421 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.

Overall, 47,803 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 26,793 of them were rapid tests, while the remaining 21,010 were PCR tests. 

Georgia has had a total of 1,050,157 Covid-19 cases since February 26, 2020. 

962,035 of the 1,050,157 infected individuals have recovered, while 14,701 have died from the virus.

The new 9,696 cases were recorded in: 

  • Tbilisi - 5,646 cases 
  • Adjara - 1,136 cases 
  • Imereti - 1,074 cases
  • Kvemo Kartli - 386 cases 
  • Shida Kartli - 311 cases 
  • Guria - 182 cases 
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 362 cases 
  • Kakheti - 287 cases
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 140 cases
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 160 cases
  • Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 12 cases

4,557 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 999 of them are in intensive care units. 281 patients are on artificial ventilation. 

66,883 individuals are undergoing treatment at home.

1,318,639 individuals in the country have received at least one dose of Covid-19 the vaccine so far, while 1,207,073 have been fully vaccinated.
