Dynamics of the development of relations between Georgia and Israel and their cooperation in legislation and other fields were discussed on Monday in a meeting of Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Mickey Levy, the Speaker of the Israeli Knesset.
The meeting highlighted the importance of a further enhancement of the partnership, both in bilateral and multilateral formats, as well as security challenges, the Government Administration said.

The officials highlighted the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Israel, celebrated on Wednesday, as a basis for increasing the cooperation.
Garibashvili also noted his Government appreciated the "firm position" of Israel in support of Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
Prior to the meeting with the Knesset Speaker, Garibashvili laid a wreath at a memorial of Israeli soldiers, while he also met with Yair Lapid, the Alternate Prime Minister of Israel and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The PM said his conversation with Lapid had confirmed the two Governments’ commitment to developing relations.
The meetings also were attended by Georgian officials including Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili, Defence Minister Juansher Burchuladze, State Security Service Head Grigol Liluashvili, Ambassador to Israel Lasha Zhvania and Revaz Javelidze, the Head of Government Administration.
