Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili and Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili on Wednesday marked 30 years of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Israel with messages on the anniversary year.
Papuashvili said the countries enjoyed “excellent cooperation” in economy, tourism, education and security, adding the Georgian Parliament remained “committed” to strengthening ties with Israeli counterparts “in the years to come.”

In his turn, Foreign Minister Darchiashvili noted he was ready to continue close cooperation with his Israeli counterpart Yair Lapid to further develop bilateral relations.

“Today marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Georgia and Israel. Throughout the years we have spared no efforts to build and strengthen bilateral relations,” the top Georgian diplomat tweeted.
