As part of his visit to Israel, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Monday paid tribute to the memory of the victims of the Holocaust at the Yad Vashem memorial.

The head of the Georgian Government visited Israel's official memorial to the victims before laying a wreath in their memory, the Government Administration said.

The World Holocaust Remembrance Centre of Yad Vashem is recognised as a major source for Holocaust education, remembrance, documentation and research.
