Earlier today, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili also paid tribute to the victims of the Holocaust - “the greatest tragedy in human history”, highlighting the importance of “standing up against hatred and intolerance” and building together “a world of peace, understanding and compassion”.
Holocaust Remembrance Day is marked on January 27, the day of the liberation of the largest of the concentration camps set up by Nazi Germany - Auschwitz, where more than 1.1 million people were killed.
