“Heartfelt felicitations to my Italian counterpart, as well as the government and people of Italy, as they celebrate Republic Day! I wish you every happiness and continued success!” the top Georgian diplomat said.
Festa della Repubblica is the Italian National Day and Republic Day, celebrated on June 2 each year. The day commemorates the institutional referendum held by universal suffrage in 1946, in which Italian citizens were called to the polls to decide on the form of government following the Second World War and the fall of fascism.
