Georgian prime minister Irakli Garibashvili on Saturday congratulated Giorgia Meloni on her appointment as the prime minister of Italy.
In his tweet Garibashvili said Georgia “counted on” Italy’s “continued support” on its Euro-Atlantic path.

Italian prime minister responded in her tweet and vowed Italy would do "everything necessary" to support Georgia's path.
I am grateful for the thought you had for me @GharibashviliGe. We will do everything necessary to strengthen relations between Italy and Georgia and support the path of your nation.
