Georgian FM, new Israeli Ambassador discuss cooperation in trade, economy, tourism

Relations between Georgia and Israel and opportunities for their further development were discussed on Thursday in a meeting between the Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and Hadas Meitzad, the new Israeli Ambassador.

The meeting focused on deepening the cooperation between the two countries in the fields of trade, economy and tourism, the Georgian foreign office said.

The officials highlighted the importance of the visit of the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili to Israel on May 30.

Darchiashvili and Meitzad also reviewed challenges in the Black Sea region and confirmed their readiness to continue “active work” on bilateral and multilateral agenda issues.
