The Georgian Government on Monday announced a public celebration to welcome the country’s national football team in the capital Tbilisi upon their exit from the ongoing European Championship in Germany following the last 16 knockout round defeat to Spain on Sunday.
The Government Administration said the team’s supporters would be able to gather on Freedom Square at 10:00 pm on Tuesday to celebrate and express their gratitude to the squad for their performance at the Championship.
The national team will start marching from the Mikheil Meskhi Stadium towards the Freedom Square at 9:30 pm.
The Administration added the Georgian national anthem would be played to celebrate the Georgian “football miracle together”.
