The Georgian national football team held its first full training involving 26 players in Austria ahead of the 2024 European Championship, the Georgian Football Federation said on Friday.

Striker Georges Mikautadze joined the squad in the training session in Geinberg after the completion of the season with his French club Metz while centre back Solomon Kvirkvelia is training with an individual programme.

Before the tournament, the Georgian team will play a friendly match against Montenegro in Podgorica on Sunday.

The team claimed their first-ever European Championship qualification after defeating Greece in a penalty shoot-out in the final qualifier match in Tbilisi in March.

Euro 2024 takes place in Germany between June 14 to July 14 with 24 teams. Georgia will play in Group against Turkey on June 18, Czech Republic on June 22 and Portugal on June 26.
