The Georgian national football team on Tuesday ended in a draw with Norway 1:1 in the first match of the UEFA European Qualifiers 2024, held at the Adjarabet Arena stadium in the Black Sea city of Batumi.
Georgian player Giorgi Mikautadze evened the score in the second half, after Norwegian Alexander Sørloth scored the first goal for his country in the 15th minute of the match.

The teams played against each other three times in the past, with Norway beating Georgia in one friendly and two Euro 2000 qualifying matches.
The Georgian team, coached by Willy Sagnol, is set to play against Cyprus, Scotland and Spain in a home-and-away format, the Georgians will face Norway again in an away match in September.
The winners and runners-up from the groups will qualify directly for the final tournament.
