In the first match of 2023, the Georgian national football team on Saturday defeated Mongolia by a big score in a friendly match held at the Adjarabet Arena stadium in the Black Sea city of Batumi.

The team, coached by Willy Sagnol defeated the opponents by 6:1, with Davit Volkovi, Saba Lobzhanidze, Giorgi Beridze and Budu Zivzivadze scoring the goals, as well as Giorgi Chakvetadze scoring a double in two minutes at the beginning of the second half of the match.

The national team is to have an important match of the UEFA European Qualifiers 2024 against the Norwegian team on Tuesday. The match will be hosted at the Adjarabet Arena stadium.
