Levan Kobiashvili, the President of Georgian Football Federation, will become the first Georgian to work in the UEFA Executive Committee after his election to the membership of the body at Wednesday’s Congress of the European governing body in Lisbon.
Kobiashvili received 40 votes and will work as a member of the Committee during a four-year term.

The Congress agenda also included elections for the UEFA President, where Aleksander Čeferin was re-elected for the third term for a period of four years.
GFF General Secretary Davit Mujiri and First Vice President Kakha Chumburidze, along with vice presidents Aleksandre Iashvili and Akaki Aladashvili, featured in work as part of the Congress.
