The Georgian national football team will have the opportunity to play the UEFA Euro 2024 playoffs final at the home stadium if they defeat Luxembourg in the semi-finals of the tournament on 21 March 2024 in Tbilisi.

All hosts of the Euro 2024 playoffs were announced at the draw ceremony in Switzerland’s town of Nyon, which was attended by the head coach of the Georgian team Willy Sagnol and the Vice-President of the Georgian Football Federation and former football player Alexander Iashvili.

In his comments to the media, Sagnol said “with our great fans, there is a big difference between playing at home and away”, and noted the team had to think at first about winning the semi-finals before focusing on the final, adding “I am sure that the stadium will be filled and there will be a great atmosphere”.
