The Georgian national football team on Saturday defeated Cyprus 2:1 in their second match of the qualifying round for next year's European Championship.
The first half of the match at AEK Arena in Larnaca ended 1:1 after Georgia's Giorgi Mikautadze opened the score and Cypriot Ioannis Pittas equalised with a penalty.

Georgia's Bordeaux player Zuriko Davitashvili, who came in as a substitute in the second half, scored the second for the national team in the 84th minute to regain the lead for his team, and eventually earn three points for the squad in the match.

Coached by Willy Sagnol, Georgia will play their next qualifying match against Scotland in Glasgow on Tuesday.
