Alessandro Del Piero, the former star of the Italian National Football Team and Juventus, on Tuesday praised Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who has made an impressive debut in the Serie A championship since his move to Napoli, by saying the midfielder was an “unpredictable and talented” player.
In an interview with the leading Italian daily sports newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Del Piero noted Napoli was “stronger” since the start of the new season.
I admire the work of Spalletti [Napoli’s head coach] who faced the reconstruction of his team with a constructive spirit: a great team mentality. And then watch out for Kvaratskhelia. He is unpredictable and talented: he seems to be made to play in Europe”, Del Piero said.
Kvaratskhelia won the player of the month award of the Serie A championship for August on Friday with 67 percent of the vote.
