Sweden and AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimović on Tuesday praised Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who has made an impressive debut in the Serie A championship since his move to Napoli, as a player who has “impressed me the most”.
In an interview with the leading Italian daily sports newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ibrahimović did not rule out a possible Scudetto comeback of his Milan to snatch the title from Napoli, currently eight points ahead in the league table.
At the moment we are second, at the moment. Napoli are strong, Kvaratskhelia is the player who impressed me the most. But Juventus is also returning and Inter is on the run. But we [AC Milan] are also here”, he said.
Since his move to Napoli, the Georgian winger has played 11 matches in the Italian Championship, scoring six goals and making five assists.
In the Champions League, Kvaratskhelia has played five games, scoring twice and making three assists.
