Brazilian football legend Kakà, who starred for AC Milan and Real Madrid during his career, on Wednesday praised the performances of Napoli’s Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia by saying the discovery of the midfielder was a “nice surprise” to him.
In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, a leading Italian sports daily, the former player said it was unfortunate that Manchester City’s Norwegian star Erling Haaland and Kvaratskhelia would not feature at the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.
This guy [Kvaratskhelia] is very good, a nice surprise. Too bad that he and Haaland can't feature at the World Cup”, he said.
The former midfielder for Brazil also paid tribute to the Georgian’s inventive playstyle, saying “fantasy always surprises, it makes the difference for a player who finds solutions that others do not see”.
