Napoli's Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia attended the closing event of the Stem Study Visit to Italy programme, dedicated to two young Georgian innovators, at the technopark of the University of Naples Federico II. Kvaratskhelia is “another example” of friendship between Italy and Georgia and the “appreciation of Georgian talent” in the country, the Embassy of Italy in Georgia announced on Tuesday.
The event was attended by Luigi Nicolais, the President of the Cotec Foundation [technological innovations of Italy], Amedeo Manzo, the Vice President of SPICI – Society for Innovation, Cooperation and Internationalisation, Giorgio Ventre, the Scientific Director of the Apple Developer Academy, Enrico Valvo, the Ambassador of Italy to Georgia, as well as Matteo Lorito, the Rector of the University and representatives of the private sector.

The Georgian innovators, Davit Danelia and Mariam Maisuradze shared their professional and personal experience acquired during their study visit to the University’s digital academy SPICI, with the scholarship of the Cotec Foundation and the Materias Association. They also made a presentation of digital transformation essential for companies and public administration.
The programme was implemented as part of the long-term cooperation between the Cotec and the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency, which aims to deepen collaboration between Italy and Georgia in the scientific, technological and digital spheres.
