La Gazzetta dello Sport, a leading Italian sports daily, on Wednesday published a piece praising the professional skills of Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who has made an impressive debut in the Serie A championship since his move to Napoli, by saying his dribbles were “poetry for those who love football”.
The newspaper noted the “poster boy” of the early season performances of the team led by Luciano Spalletti - with the club currently leading the league - was “undoubtedly” the Georgian midfielder.
His dribbles are poetry for those who love the aesthetics of football, not just for Napoli fans. It is extraordinary how this boy with an angelic face, at the age of 21, came from another world [in football terms] and immediately began to make a difference in Napoli with a disarming naturalness, that of great champions”, La Gazzetta dello Sport said.
