Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti on Sunday commented on the “strong work” in the summer transfer window by Italian side Napoli, and noted the “explosive start” in the team by Georgian talent Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who has made an impressive debut in the Serie A championship since his move to the club.
Speaking to Italy’s Rai Sport, Ancelotti, who headed Napoli between 2018-2019, highlighted the team’s impressive start to the season and the qualities of the Georgian midfielder.
Kvaratskhelia the surprise? [Only] for those who didn't know him. We already followed him when I was in Naples. He is a special player”, Ancelotti said.
He also noted that Napoli had picked up some “very good” signings, while the new arrivals had made the team “unpredictable”.
Ancelotti spent 18 months with Napoli after replacing Maurizio Sarri in the Campania capital.
