The Georgian national football team on Monday set a new record for unbeaten runs by going undefeated for 11 games after its UEFA Nations League win over Gibraltar with the score 2:1.
In the final, sixth match of the group stage of the competition, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who scored five goals, made two assists and won three penalties in six Nations League matches, won a penalty and converted it to open the score.

In the second half, Giorgi Tsitaishvili went past several defenders to score the team’s second goal and his first for the national team, before Gibraltar reduced the deficit by a single goal.

With the win, Georgian national team has recorded best results among the 16 teams of the C division of the tournament, which has given them the right to play their semifinal match in Tbilisi. The squad has also been promoted to division B and qualified for the 2024 European Championship playoffs.
