Pawel Herczynski, the European Union Ambassador to Georgia, on Monday said the “historic decision” by the European Council to grant Georgia the European perspective set a “new reality”.
Herczynski noted the “great responsibility” of becoming the new EU Ambassador to Georgia, with the tenure coming “at one of the most important moments in EU-Georgia relations”.

Together with my team, I will work tirelessly assisting Georgia on its path to the European Union. It is an enormous privilege to have the chance to contribute to this process”, Herczynski said.
Earlier today, Herczynski presented his credentials to Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili.
