Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Monday said his Government would discuss its progress and ongoing reforms at the meeting of the European Union-Georgia Association Council in Brussels on Tuesday.

The Georgian delegation, led by Garibashvili and involving ministers of Economy and Sustainable Development and Foreign Affairs, is scheduled to depart for Brussels today, the Government Administration said.

We will talk about all the progress, all the reforms we are working on. Also, naturally, we will talk about the 12-point conditions [outlined by EU for granting Georgia the candidate status], which are being actively worked on by our ruling [Georgian Dream] party in the Parliament”, the head of the Government said.

Garibashvili added the meeting in Brussels would also focus on the current political and economic situation in the country, as well as the challenges in the Black Sea region related to the war in Ukraine.

I want to say once again that we will present in detail to our European partners the progress we have made”, the PM concluded in his comments.

The EU-Georgia Association Council will discuss EU-Georgia's relations against the background of the country’s membership application, with a focus on political dialogue and reform, economic and sectoral cooperation, trade and related matters, and peaceful conflict resolution.
