Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili on Tuesday said “core aspects” of the Georgia-European Union cooperation agenda would be discussed at the meeting of the Association Council involving the two sides later today.
“Delighted to be in Brussels to participate in the 7th Georgia-EU Association Council meeting, led by Georgian PM Gharibashvili. At the meeting held for the first time after granting our country a European Perspective, we are to discuss the core aspects of Georgia-EU cooperation agenda”, the top Georgian diplomat said.

The Georgian delegation, led by Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and involving ministers of Economy and Sustainable Development and Foreign Affairs, will discuss the country’s progress and ongoing reforms at the meeting.
EU-Georgia's relations against the background of the country’s membership application, with a focus on political dialogue and reform, economic and sectoral cooperation, trade and related matters, and peaceful conflict resolution will be reviewed.
