European Union now recognises COVID-19 vaccination certificates issued by Georgia.
The EU is now also accepting COVID certificates from two other non-EU countries – Moldova and Serbia.

A total of 49 countries’ COVID-19 vaccination certificates are now recognised by the EU, of which 22 are non-EU countries.
European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi announced the news in an interview with Radio Liberty Georgian service earlier today.
The EU recognises all three certificates of Georgia – vaccination, testing, and recovery.

A smartphone application attesting to an individual’s Covid-19 vaccination status in Georgia will soon be released, and will be necessary to enter a number of indoor and outdoor public places starting December 1.
Covid-19 ‘green’ passes will come into force in Georgia starting December 1, obliging the public to present proof of vaccination, testing or recovery from Covid-19 when entering certain establishments.
Following the request of the Georgian government Serbia has recognised Covid-19 full vaccination certificate issued in Georgia, the Georgian Foreign Ministry reports.

Georgian Deputy Health Minister Tamar Gabunia and head of the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Amiran Gamkrelidze said earlier today that the epidemic situation in the country remains ‘tense,’ but the increasing number of daily vaccinations ‘gives hope.’ Georgia has reported 5,204 new COVID-19 cases, 4,785 recoveries and 83 deaths in the last 24 hours.
“Nearly 50,000 Covid-19 vaccine doses daily should be administered in Georgia in order to stop the pandemic”, Head of Infectious Diseases and AIDS Centre Tengiz Tsertsvadze said earlier today.
The Georgian Ministry of Health has launched a COVID pass smartphone application Georgia e-Health which displays an individual's COVID-19 vaccination records, as well as the latest PCR and antigen test results. Georgia e-Health is available both on App Store and Google Play. Following the installation, an individual needs to register in the system. Afterwards, one's vaccination, testing, and recovery information will be displayed automatically.
Georgia has reported 4,446 new cases of coronavirus, 5,320 recoveries and 77 deaths in the past 24 hours.

Restaurants, cafes and bars will operate in Georgia without hourly restrictions and the permissible number of spectators at cinemas, theatres and the opera house will increase from 30% to 50%, announces Chief of the Operational Staff of the Interagency Coordination Council, Giorgi Gibradze.
The three western Georgian cities of Kutaisi, Poti and Zugdidi will receive 30,000 euros each to develop a cultural development strategy with grants form EU4Culture. The Georgian cities were selected among a total of 14 non-capital cities and towns from five Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
Switzerland has recognised Covid-19 vaccination certificates issued by Georgia. The Swiss Federal Office of Public Health has updated a list of countries whose Covid-19 certificates are recognised by Switzerland, and Georgia is included.
Georgian citizens, along with residents of 32 other non-European Union countries, will be able to enter Greece with simplified rules starting today, the Georgian Embassy in Greece has announced.
Submission of documents on Covid vaccination, recovery and testing won’t be mandatory for Georgian citizens while travelling to Germany starting June, the German Embassy in Georgia announced on Tuesday.
