COVID pass application launches in Georgia

The Georgian Ministry of Health has launched a COVID pass smartphone application Georgia e-Health which displays an individual's COVID-19 vaccination records, as well as the latest PCR and antigen test results.
Georgia e-Health is available both on App Store and Google Play. Following the installation, an individual needs to register in the system. Afterwards, one's vaccination, testing, and recovery information will be displayed automatically.
COVID passes will be required to enter the following establishments:
- Food facilities (both open and closed spaces)
- Cinemas
- Theatres
- Opera houses
- Museums
- Concert halls
- Entertainment centres
- Casinos, gambling facilities
- Spa centres
- Gyms
- Hotels
- Mountain resorts
Individuals who do not use smartphones are able to receive their COVID passes at public service halls.
Georgian COVID certificates will be valid across the European Union, as Georgia was accepted in the EU Digital COVID Certificate system.
“Nearly 50,000 Covid-19 vaccine doses daily should be administered in Georgia in order to stop the pandemic”, Head of Infectious Diseases and AIDS Centre Tengiz Tsertsvadze said earlier today.
European Union now recognises COVID-19 vaccination certificates issued by Georgia. The EU is now also accepting COVID certificates from two other non-EU countries – Moldova and Serbia. A total of 49 countries’ COVID-19 vaccination certificates are now recognised by the EU, of which 22 are non-EU countries.
A smartphone application attesting to an individual’s Covid-19 vaccination status in Georgia will soon be released, and will be necessary to enter a number of indoor and outdoor public places starting December 1.
Covid-19 ‘green’ passes will come into force in Georgia starting December 1, obliging the public to present proof of vaccination, testing or recovery from Covid-19 when entering certain establishments.
Georgia has reported 4,446 new cases of coronavirus, 5,320 recoveries and 77 deaths in the past 24 hours.
“Nine out of every 100 COVID-infected children need to be placed in hospital”, medical director of Iashvili Children Hospital and Head of Immunization Council Ivane Chkhaidze said.
Georgia has reported 4,287 new cases of coronavirus, 4,154 recoveries and 63 deaths in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate has gone down to 8.37 % of tested individuals for Covid-19 as of November 19 in comparison to the last seven days.
Georgia has reported 4,318 new cases of coronavirus, 2,457 recoveries and 70 deaths in the last 24 hours. The weekly positivity rate for tested individuals stands at 9%. A total of 52,962 tests have been conducted around the country during the last 24 hours. 32,513 of them were rapid tests, while the remaining 20,449 were PCR tests.
Georgia has reported 3,357 new cases of coronavirus, 5,772 recoveries and 76 deaths in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate for the last 14 days stands at 9.31%.
Georgia has reported 1,851 new cases of coronavirus, 5,530 recoveries and 55 deaths in the past 24 hours.
Foreign citizens and individuals with non-resident status in Georgia can now use the health ministry's newly launched application for confirming their Covid-related status during their stay in the country, while the government has also announced venues and establishments the pass will allow access to.
Restaurants, cafes and bars will operate in Georgia without hourly restrictions and the permissible number of spectators at cinemas, theatres and the opera house will increase from 30% to 50%, announces Chief of the Operational Staff of the Interagency Coordination Council, Giorgi Gibradze.
Georgia has reported 1,954 new cases of coronavirus, 4,477 recoveries and 47 deaths in the past 24 hours.
