Coronavirus: Georgia reports 3,357 new cases, 5,772 recoveries, 76 deaths

Georgia has reported 3,357 new cases of coronavirus, 5,772 recoveries and 76 deaths in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate for the last 14 days stands at 9.31%.

A total of 34,361 tests have been conducted around the country during the last 24 hours. 19,776 of them were rapid tests, while the remaining 14,585 were PCR tests.

The new 3,357 cases were recorded in:

• Tbilisi – 1,415 cases
• Imereti – 621 cases
• Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti – 260 cases
• Kakheti – 253 cases
• Adjara –  106 cases
• Guria – 95 cases
• Shida Kartli – 242 cases
• Kvemo Kartli – 173 cases
• Samtskhe- Javakheti –  83 cases
• Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 24 cases

Currently 49,761 individuals remain infected with COVID-19, of which:

• 41,999 patients are undergoing treatment at home
• 6,605 patients – in hospitals
• 1,157 patients - in clinical hotels

390 infected patients are on artificial ventilation.

In total, 2,095,168 COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered in the country so far, while 979,607 individuals have been fully vaccinated.
