Zbigniew Rau, the Chairman-in-Office of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe and Poland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, has extended his gratitude to Georgian authorities and citizens for their support for Ukraine, noting the OSCE commended the country’s “unconditional” support for the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine.
Speaking on Wednesday at a briefing after his meeting with Georgia’s Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani Rau praised Tbilisi's offer to assist OSCE representatives in the evacuation process from Ukraine amid the ongoing war, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia said.
Russia's “unprovoked” aggression against Ukraine and its “destructive” actions against several other countries in the OSCE area, where Georgia was one of the most “visible examples”, indicated there are attempts to change the borders in Europe by force, Rau stated.

The “language of tanks and barbed wire” violates the basic principles of international law, the Chairman-in-Office of OSCE said, adding Russia’s actions were directed not only against sovereignty and territorial integrity in countries like Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova, but also the “fundamental principles” of European security.
Poland, as the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, will spare no effort to make the issue of Georgia topical on the international agenda, said the Polish Foreign Minister while reaffirming the OSCE's “strong support” for the country.
