Russia's aggression against Ukraine and deteriorating security situation in the occupied regions of Georgia were discussed at the meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs David Zalkaliani and Zbigniew Rau, the Chairman-in-Office of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe and Poland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, on Wednesday.
The Ministers reaffirmed their unwavering support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity at the meeting, held in the capital of Georgia. The importance of the support and strong position of international partners to Ukraine was noted, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia said.
"Georgia categorically condemns the ongoing, unprovoked and unjustified aggression by Russia against Ukraine, which grossly violates the norms of international law, including international humanitarian law, and undermines international order and the architecture of European security," Zalkaliani said.

Zalkaliani expressed gratitude to Poland for supporting Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, noting the special importance of its support for Georgia's European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
The Georgian Foreign Minister shared information with his Polish counterpart on the steps taken by the country for European integration, including the implementation of the obligations under its 2014 Association Agreement with the European Union, as well as the formal bid for EU membership that was signed earlier this month.
