Georgian Parliament Speaker to meet European Parliament President in Brussels

The Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili will visit Brussels on Tuesday for a series of meetings with European leaders, the Parliament of Georgia has said.

Shalva Papuashvili is scheduled to meet with Roberta Metsola, the President of the European Parliament, and MEPs as part of the official trip.

The Georgian Parliament official will also hold discussions with Marina Kaljurand, the head of the delegation for relations with the South Caucasus, and Iratxe Garcia Perez, the President of the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats.

Meetings are also scheduled with the President of the House of Representatives of the Belgian Parliament and the Speaker of the Senate, as well as with the European Commissioner, Didier Reynder, and Simon Mordius, the Foreign Affairs Advisor to the President of the European Council.

The Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia will end his visit to Brussels on Friday.
