Visa-free travel with the European Union has been a “vital” and “tangible benefit” for Georgian citizens, Shalva Papuashvili, the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, said on Monday on the fifth anniversary of the country’s travel agreement with the EU and the Schengen Area countries.
Marking the date, Papuashvili tweeted the Georgian passport had a “strong value” of being on the 30th place in global ranking with visa-free, visa on arrival and visa to enter conditions.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said Georgia’s Government had done “a lot of work” to achieve visa-free travel with the EU over the last five years.
