Igor Dolgov, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Georgia, has thanked the Georgian government for the latter’s decision to send aid worth one million GEL ($315,000/€279,842) to the country amid Russia’s military invasion.
Dolgov, on a visit to Georgia’s Ministry of Health, said the type of aid sent on the initiative of Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili was “top priority” for Ukraine, as casualties mounted up in locations of the ongoing conflict.
We greatly appreciate any expression of support and solidarity. We need practical help - medical equipment and tools for people in the field,” Dolgov said in his comments.
Thousands of first aid items, more than 30 types of medicines and oxygen switches have been included in the package, which will begin to be delivered to Ukraine via Poland starting this Sunday.
