Georgia, along with 80 other countries, has co-sponsored the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolution vetoed by Russia, the Georgian foreign ministry announced on Saturday, reiterating support for Ukraine "at all possible international platforms."

The issue is set to move to the UN General Assembly (UNGA).

Russia vetoed the UNSC resolution denouncing its invasion of Ukraine on Friday. As a response, US Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas Greenfield said Russia could veto the resolution but could not "veto the truth."
