Igor Dolgov, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Georgia, has appealed to the international community to support Ukraine in the wake of the Russian invasion.

At a briefing held at the Ukrainian embassy to Georgia earlier today, Ambassador Dolgov said Russia's attack on Ukraine posed a threat to the world.

Today we started living in a different reality - a reality without a world order, international law or respect for the other countries' sovereignty," he added.

Dolgov urged the international community to "impose tough sanctions against the Russian Federation."

With its actions, the Russian Federation has put itself against the law and created conditions for its total isolation," noted the ambassador.

The international community has condemned Russia's move, expressing support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken warned the Russian Federation of “swift and firm response”.

The European Union, United States and several other countries have already imposed sanctions on Russia.
