Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili held a phone call with Olivér Várhelyi, the European Union Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement, over the ongoing conflict in Ukraine on Sunday.

The head of Georgia’s government expressed gratitude to the EU Commissioner for the “productive conversation in these difficult times”, referencing the conflict in Ukraine sparked by Russia’s invasion of the country on Thursday.
The ongoing conflict in Ukraine was the topic of a call between David Zalkaliani, Georgia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Jean-Yves Le Drian, France's Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, on Saturday.
Georgia’s Foreign Minister Davit Zalkaliani and Josep Borrell, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, held a phone call over the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and Georgia’s security situation on the backdrop of the events on Saturday.
