Ruslan Stefanchuk, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, recalled Georgia’s efforts to assist his county, saying Georgia had “always” supported Ukraine and co-sponsored important resolutions.
In an interview with Georgia’s TV Imedi on Tuesday, Stefanchuk said he had watched the solidarity rallies for Ukraine held in various Georgian cities.
“Georgia has always supported Ukraine. It has co-sponsored important resolutions. I watched the streams of the rallies held in Tbilisi and various other cities to support the Ukrainian people. I think it is most important that we feel the mutual support of our people,” he said.
Regarding the recent recall of the Ukrainian Ambassador to Georgia, Stefanchuk asserted the two countries would “definitely resolve the issues” based on “interests of our two nations.”
