Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili and his Ukrainian counterpart have agreed the upcoming visit of the Georgian official to Ukraine in an online meeting on Wednesday, with the trip to be organised in the coming days, the Georgian Parliament’s press office said.
The agreement of the details of the visit follows an invitation by Ukrainian officials to their Georgian colleagues to visit and observe the sites of war crimes by Russian troops since their invasion.
In the meeting, Ukrainian Parliament Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk thanked Georgian authorities for assistance provided since the start of the Russian invasion in February, as well as for the “outstanding care and attention” to the Ukrainians in Georgia.
