The opposition United National Movement party is “mobilised to plan certain provocations” during the visit of the Georgian Parliamentary delegation to Ukraine that is set to begin today, Vice Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Gia Volski said on Friday.

Georgian special services have received information about the “possible provocation” by the party from “reliable sources”, Volski said, and have already shared it with their Ukrainian counterparts.

I will not hide it from you, but it has been confirmed, at least there is such information, that they [United National Movement party] are mobilised to plan a certain provocation, and this is the main reason why they are not in the [parliamentary] delegation [leaving for Ukraine]”, the ruling party member said.

I can tell you [even] more - our special services have received information about this from a very reliable source and have already shared it with their Ukrainian counterparts,” the Parliament official said without elaborating on details.

“I am sure the Ukrainians will take appropriate measures in this regard and this visit will not be hindered,” Volski concluded in his comments.
