Heavy rain has hit some municipalities in the Georgian regions of Adjara, Imereti and Shida Kartli today and yesterday, causing landslides and damage to roads, bridges and agricultural lands.
Ground floors and greenhouses have been flooded in Surami and Khashuri municipalities in Shida Kartli.

Noting that the drainage system needs to be improved in the municipalities, acting governor of Shida Kartli region Simon Guledani said the situation in all of the four municipalities is currently stable.
Roads and bridges have been damaged in Khulo and Keda municipalities of Adjara as well where heavy rain has caused landslides.
