A heavy rain and hail hit some municipalities in the Georgian regions of Imereti and Kakheti yesterday.
Bad weather has especially affected the municipality of Sachkhere in Imereti region, damaging 30 percent of the agricultural land plots and vineyards.

The water level of some rivers also increased due to heavy rain, flooding streets.
Sachkhere Mayor Beniamine Palavandishvili said the overall damage in the municipality exceeds GEL 1 million.

The 20-minute hail damaged over 70 percent of the harvest in the municipalities of Sighnaghi and Sagarejo in Kakheti region as well.
However, 130 anti-hail rockets that were launched into the sky above Georgia’s winemaking region, managed to reduce the effects of the hail.
Saturday night's heavy wind and rain have badly affected some of the districts in Tbilisi, as well as other regions of Georgia. The Emergency Management Centre has received about 25 calls from Tbilisi and 20 calls from Shida Kartli, in Georgia's east.

Heavy rain has hit Batumi, the capital of the Georgian Black Sea region of Adjara, causing flooding in the streets and the central highway. Head of the local water company Giorgi Siradze said all of the services of the Batumi City Hall are working in emergency mode.
