The streets of the Georgian seaside town of Batumi have flooded again due to heavy rainfall.
Footage from Adjara TV station shows traffic has been seriously affected due to torrential downpour, which has flooded the first floors of houses in Batumi damaging furniture and other household items.

Landslides have intensified in the Adjarian village of Tsablana in Khulo municipality where seven families have been evacuated temporarily.
A landslide swept away a 100-meter-long road, local media outlet Batumelebi.ge reports.
Tsablana’s mayor’s representative Raul Makharadze said that the landslide does not pose a threat to houses at the moment, however, he noted that ‘landslides may develop again as a result of heavy rains.’

The landslide also blocked the central road leading to the villages of Fushrukauli, Khadziri and Tkhilvani.

Heavy rain has hit some municipalities in the Georgian regions of Adjara, Imereti and Shida Kartli today and yesterday, causing landslides and damage to roads, bridges and agricultural lands.
Heavy rainfall has hit Black Sea coastal cities in Georgia today, including in Batumi and Ureki where flooding took place. Dozens of streets, homes and shopping facilities have been flooded in Batumi while in Ureki along with houses the police station was flooded to the point that law enforcers were unable to enter the building.
Heavy rain has hit Georgia’s Black Sea town of Kobuleti and nearby villages. Agricultural lands, ground floors and several markets were damaged as the water level in the river of Achkvi increased.
The new building of Batumi Republican Hospital has been flooded following heavy rainfall in western Georgia, local media outlet Batumelebi reported today. Batumelebi’s source reported that this is not the first time ‘when the ground floor of the new building has been flooded’ noting that the water gets into the building from the soil as well.
