US marketing company to help Georgian wine producers with wine exports to US

Julie Peterson, Managing Partner of US marketing company Marq Energie Consulting, has met Georgian wine producers in the United States to introduce them to the characteristics of the US market and help them create strategies for exporting wine to the US.
Head of Georgian National Wine Agency Levan Mekhuzla said that in order to raise awareness of Georgian wine in the US, a number of wine tasting events will be held.
He said that the price of one liter of Georgian wine exceeds $6 which makes the US market one of the highly priced markets for Georgian wine.

Georgia exported 28.3 million bottles of wine to 55 countries in January-April 2021, which is an increase of 15% compared to the same period of 2020, says the Georgian National Wine Agency.
By selling wine abroad Georgia generated $65 million in 2020 with revenues increasing 7% year-on-year.
