The Georgian Red Cross Society (GRCS) has started to train volunteers who will be able to provide food, medication and hygiene products to elderly individuals, those with special needs living alone, as well as to the disadvantaged and individuals with chronic illnesses in order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus – COVID-19, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze stated today.
Kaladze explained that individuals who wish to volunteer should call the City Hall’s hotline 2 722222, or the Red Cross hotline 0800 000 018, register as a volunteer and undergo training.
I would like to thank the Georgian Red Cross Society team for their cooperation and, of course, every person who is ready to serve our citizens whether it be charity, physical help or any other kind of offer”, said Kaladze.
