Liberty Bank has announced it will transfer 100 million GEL in pensions in advance to citizens of Georgia who are in a high risk group for the coronavirus, announces the Director General of Liberty Bank Vasil Khodeli.

This programme benefits people of the most risky group, people who are 70 years old or older. April pensions will be transferred in advance to their social cards and from tomorrow our customers will be able to use the money and pay only using the cards, not cash", said Khodeli.

Khodeli said that Liberty Bank understands contactless payment methods are safer for preventing the spread of the coronavirus, and for this reason pensioners will not be able to withdraw cash.

Also, as part of the programme, a new website www.myliberty.ge has been created to let recipients know when their pension will be transferred.
