122 flats will be built on land plots owned by internally displaced persons (IDPs) with the financial support of the German Development Bank (KfW) in Georgia’s eastern region of Shida Kartli and Western Georgia, reports the press office of the Ministry of Health, Social Care and Internally Displaced People.
IDP families, who own land plots which were registered by February 1, 2020, are eligible to participate in the project. The Ministry of Internally Displaced People will begin accepting applications from March 2 until March 16. 100 flats will be built in Western Georgia and 22 in the Shida Kartli region”, reads the official statement of the Ministry.
All IDPs who are interested in having a home constructed can fill out an application in Justice Houses throughout Georgia or in the Service Divisions of the Social Service Agency.
The construction of similar flats for 31 IDP families is already underway in Marneuli, Georgia’s Kvemo Kartli region, where the project is being implemented by the Danish Refugee Council.
A total of 236 houses will be built in Georgia on land plots owned by internally displaced families.
