The Georgian Government has provided 34 internally displaced families (IDPs) with accommodations in Georgia’s eastern region of Shida Kartli.
Apartments in newly constructed residential buildings have been provided to 34 IDPs in Gori and Khashuri in the Shida Kartli district. In total 2,500 IDP families will be provided with accommodations throughout Georgia in 2020”, reports the press office of the Ministry of Health, Social Care and Internally Displaced People.

Former Prime Minister Giorgi Bakhtadze declared in February 2019 that IDPs would receive accommodations in Tbilisi, Poti, Gori, Batumi, Zugdidi, as well as Kakheti and Kvemo Kartli regions.
Over 21,000 IDP families have been provided with accommodations since 2013.
