360 IDP families receive flats in Zugdidi, western Georgia

Over 300 IDP families who lived in damaged buildings have received flats in newly built residential buildings in the western town of Zugdidi in the Samegrelo region.
The 68 damaged buildings where these families lived have been sealed.
Meanwhile, five residential buildings are being built for an additional 600 IDP families.
In the last eight years, 22,655 IDP families have been given flats throughout the country.
The Agency for IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons), eco-migrants and livelihood provision will provide 401 IDP families with accommodations in rural areas, reports the Ministry of Health, Social Care and Internally Displaced Persons.
The Georgian Government has provided 34 internally displaced families (IDPs) with accommodations in Georgia’s eastern region of Shida Kartli.
A total of 274 internally displaced families (IDPs) have received brand new flats in the western Georgian city of Kutaisi. The flats were distributed among the owners considering the number of members per each family.
The Georgian government handed keys to their brand-new flats to 251 internally displaced families on Friday, with Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia telling reporters the policy of providing benefits to IDPs would continue.
The Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs reports that 139 policemen have received new flats in Tbilisi and Rustavi within the Housing Project.
